Show Me Your Knife Storage

I have accumulated quite a few knives over the past few months and am looking for ideas to store them. Right now they are all in their boxes in the closet. I'm not really looking for a roll type solution. More like a display type that will hold a dozen or so possibly. A Pelican can style might work also. Although, displaying is preferred. After all, what's the point of having all these beauties if you can't see them?

Show me what you've got and where yo got it from, please!

Pelican's nice (particularly with the nalpak inserts as opposed to the pick and pluck stuff). I've gone through a couple of those and actually have just settled on a nice small-ish toolbox with a few drawers as my preferred way to store/display. Otherwise if you'd like the more secure storage I've had great luck with Nalpak, they sell combos of pelican cases with custom knife inserts at whatever size you'd like.

Everytime I think about getting a Pelican case or something for my knives I realize that I could instead buy a Sebenza for almost the same price so stick to not having anything. I sit at a roll top desk in my room where I have my laptop and stereo system. I have a row of folders behind my keyboard, some more folders on the small desk shelves above those, and then I have a small bookshelf I installed onto the wall next to my desk and in front of my books I have more folders. Then I have my older less valuable knives just chillin in a cardboard box in my closet that I like to go into sometimes and do some exploring. I keep thinking there must be a better way to do it, however this way works pretty good for me and everytime I go to the ol' cardboard box I see knives that I haven't seen in years and get to re-enjoy them which is fun.

I hear people talk about the Harbor freight Pelican like boxes and looked at them the other month. They look like they're built pretty dang well and the one I looked at had foam slots that you take out that fit the 3.5" bladed folder I had on me well. I might get one of those someday for my more expensive knives. However then, like you said, then you can't see them. First world problems... Either way, I feel super blessed to have what I have.

I have been tossing these 2 around, but was interested to see what everyone else had before making a decision.

Neener Neener Neener Neener Those look pretty good. That top one looks like it has a good amount of room. Where'd you find that top one if you don't mind me asking?

Truth 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They are actually pretty good, especially for the $.. I've got 2 of the Apache branded ones, a 3800 and a 4800 (same at the one posted above ^^^). Both have taken a beating and been dunked in water at some point and are still 100% solid..

Right on, that's good to hear man. Yea they looked pretty dang well built when I looked at them. I might have to wait until I have a 20% off coupon and then go get one. They're also really popular in the motorcycle community and I've thought about using them as panniers or a top box. I hear they hold up really well for even that.

I use four silverware storage cabinets that I got off Ebay. This is one of them.
