And if you include fixed blades, all but one of these is wood:

Hey Kamagong - As if I have to ask what wood you like. The top Laconico fixed blade in my last picture is kamagong.

Nice Laconicos. That top knife reminds me of an escrima stick I have.

I really like kamagong (and its close relative, macassar). When I was in Baguio last year, I picked up a number of things made from kamagong, including sets of escrima sticks for myself and two of my sons.

This is an old Robeson Navy knife stacked leather that I rehandled. This is my first and only attempt so far. Lignum Vitae....
The wood produced greenish sawdust, and the smell is very distinctive. It is very dense but not hard to work with at all. It was alot of fun. I burnt one pin, trying to go too fast. The grain is wonderful, hope the pics capture that.

Everyone has fancier knives than me. Not really a custom, a home made scale, Buck 303.Calif. Buckeye burl (stablized). Not sure I will do anymore rescaling...... You have to be really patient. 300Bucks

Threads like this shows (me) the need to break the camera out and take pics. :(
