Do you keep any "Non-EDC" traditional knives laying around somewhere?

I keep these two out in the garage … a Case 6347 and a Victorinox Gardner. Perfectly good knives and I like having them around and using them, but I never actually carry 'em on my person - they stay on the workbench in the garage until needed.

How about you - do you have traditional knives you never carry, but often (or occasionally) use? Let's see 'em! :)

I keep this customized Camillus Electrician's knife on my workbench along with a China Imperial sodbuster.

This RR Eureka stockman is on one bench in my basement.

This Ulster scout is on the other basement workbench.

This Owl Head large sowbelly is in my kitchen organizer for easy access.

I carry an igloo backpack with me to work now that the weather is warming. I am going to keep this guy in a pocket for those times I need something stout to cut with. Thanks again Aaron.

This one used to sit in the little center council tray in my wifes vehicle. I used it for fishing and decided I needed to steal it back from her :). Its now in my tackle box and my preferred carry for shore side chores. Thanks again Paul.

My garage knife is a fixed blade of non traditional style.

That sheepfoot F&F is a workhorse I bet!

Nope. I carry a pocket knife so that I don't have to keep a knife at the work bench.

These plus a couple of TL-29's and a few unmentionables sit out on my bench full time. Mood and circumstance dictate which I will grab for a particular chore.

These are the toolboxes that live in my shed.

These three knives live in those toolboxes.

As Frank said; I generally don't keep a knife (except maybe a box cutter) on my workbench as I always have a knife or knives with me.

For years I did not carry a knife at work but got one out every morning along with calipers, a scale, a tape measure, and a calculator (machinist). I don't like anything in my pockets at work.

Hanging around here gave me ideas for easier carry and got me focused on always having a knife handy. Now that's all I have in my pockets all day, a knife.

Anyways, my teenage boy favorite knife was a Mercator. I bought two years ago and tried to see how much this one could take.

It cut plastic by being hit on the spine with a plastic hammer (a lot) and many other inappropriate uses and held up very well for years. I finally bent the backspring, pried it part, bent it back and re-assembled it. It is in my toolbox for rough jobs still.

I've seen folks speak of Mercators here before, I hope it squeaks through as traditional. It's a toolbox knife for sure.

Yup, red spacer.
