Thought I'd post up some pics and thoughts of my newest acquisition the Strider SJ-75.
Right off the bat just want to say I am super impressed and actually surprised at how much I like this knife. Dare say almost like it as much or more
than the venerable SnG. It's just a solid all around well made knife with some pizzazz thrown in as well.

And for folks who think Striders can't cut.... let me tell you this knife is a Slice n Dice machine. It took all but 10 minutes of handling this knife to
unknowingly give myself a nice love scrape across my knuckles. Super thin behind the edge. And the nice satin/ stonewash allows the blade to glide
effortlessly through material.

Build quality is superb. When you've handled enough knives it gets easy to tell which knives feel like quality and which don't. Nice touches like the
dragon spine and shallow grooves cut into the lock side give the knife a finished feel. At first the SJ-75 looked kind of funky to me with the wide
leaf shaped blade. Almost reminiscent of a Spyderco. But just like most Spydercos you really understand the design when you get one in your hand.

I think this knife will really surprise the people whos main complaint about Striders are fit n finish, and blade cutting ability. This knife excels at both
aspects. A great EDC blade built for cutting with the Strider feel.

If i was to buy a strider, it would probly be this. I like the design and look of the knife, very nice pictures as well!

They are nice knives for sure. I've never owned an SJ-75 but I've owned a few other Striders. This is probably the most under rated knife I the Strider lineup but it definitely has a place.

Thanks for the write-up . I have had an SJ-75 on my list for 3 years now, things just always came up... I hope to own a brown one someday soon.

I have always liked he look of the Baby Huey, but whatever is going on with the spine of the blade, be it file work or what not, turns me right off. Maybe I'll snag one some day when money is much more available.

Oops thanks Dean. Will fix the title.
So I broke the knife down to clean and lube last nite.
The design of this knife is really simplistic and genius.
Only needs a pivot and one other screw that also holds the
pocket clip in place. Probably the easiest knife to take apart
And put together. Opening the knife is very reminiscent of an
SnG. It has the same mechanical action. But the lock up is very
quiet.
I polished the washers and used Teflon based grease and it is
Buttery smooth. Anyone in the market for a strider skip the SnG
And SMF. Trust me. Try the SJ. You won't be dissapointed.

If and when I get a Strider I made a promise to myself that it would be this one. Great looking knife.

You really complicate my future purchase plans. *le sigh*
