Nice. That looks like an older model which one is that? Also what are those medals awarded for?

Ohhhh. Nice. Would love to own one of those someday. Really like the second to last one. Dang those balisongs are spendy for me though. Great pic.

@ ULF

Thanks.

The knife is an original AFCK and the medal is a U.S Coast Guard 9/11 Medal.

Was that a blue Adamas? *drools*
Yes. Yes, it is. I had the scales Cerakoted for my wife. Blue is her favorite color, and Kent nailed the color perfectly!

Yeah, loonybin those 3 are really nice customs.
Yes. Quite the collection and variety there loonybin. Very jealous.:)

Thanks, gentlemen! The top Rift belongs to my 14y.o. I dyed the scales with Kelly Green RIT dye for almost 3 hours to get that color. They were on a 2008 Prototype until I got a Rift with a black blade and he decided the scales look better on it. The prototype now resides in my pocket and will be getting a pimp job soon. The 940 was anodized by Kent as well. I bought it used with pretty worn scales, so I had it sent straight to Kent and he worked his magic on it. He said he could see why Benchmade never anodized the 940 in the way I wanted. It was a pain to do! The 2nd Rift belongs to my 15y.o. I acid etch and stonewashed the blade and clip and did a light buffing on the hardware with a semi-coarse dremel buffing wheel. I'm going to do the same thing to my prototype, except it will have blue/black scales. We'll see what Royal Blue comes out looking like on grey/black scales. Denim Blue looks great, so I can always go darker if the Royal doesn't turn out.

Loonybin that stone wash/black wash Rift looks awesome! Did you do it yourself?
Yep! Gonna do it again soon to my Rift Prototype. If I had the original box, I would probably sell it to a collector and buy a different used Rift. As it is, it doesn't have any value over a regular Rift, so I'm going to mod it.
