Now, it's what the BK7 should have been. To me, at any rate.
That mod is pretty amazing. Did you do the grinding and sharpening yourself? Also, did you open up the butt of that knife to turn it into a bottle opener?!

Yes, yes and yes, but I used the original lanyard hole to make practical as well as tactical.

I just read through that entire thread and honestly that has got to be the single most amazing thread I have even read on here. What an amazing job! And it looks like you had a great time making it. You are an inspiration.

I love looking at that BK7, GSOM! Just went back and re-read your whole post and am kicking myself for not getting any mycarta epoxied up while it was warmer out.
Here' the only BK7 I did anything out of the ordinary to. It's one I etched for my brother-in-law. The handles are not made by me, but they are a desert camo BDU micarta. I know someone here can give credit to the maker...I'm drawing a blank right now, but he did an awesome job.

Thank you both. @mrn8: I was just at Joann's looking at the canvas duck on sale.....but it's too cold here in NH now as well. I don't think I'm going to try it indoors.
