My current DC set - I really like the double cut look and these are some nice examples of it for sure :)

From small to large…

Technically the older ones are not double cut but are bead blasted. Bad photos :p it is raining and there is not much light in the house.:grumpy::thumbdn:

I was originally a satin and black paper man, but I am rapidly becoming a fan of the DCBB and black canvas look.

Man, I thought I had a good deal of DC. I think I shall just go hide and lick my wounds.

Man, I hate to even post pics in the same thread as Lunde. My best look worse than this worst! :p

Are dbl. cut blades standard thickness with a bead blast finish?

Thickness has nothing to do with it. The blades are taken satin and then blasted twice (hence "double cut"). Says Jerry:

A "double cut" is exactly like it sounds. We have set up two large blasting cabinets. One has an abrasive media and the other has a very fine glass bead media. We hit the blades in both cabinets and the combination seems to close off the pores of the steel much better than just a single blast. This seems to offer better resistance to the elements.

Some are fat, some are thin, some are in-between. It is a very durable finish and easy to repair/return to as-new condition with a quick trip to the blasting cabinet.
