Many have different variations of hunting knives with allot of versatility whether is be handle materials to blade geometry, shape, aesthetics, and style, post yours and explain why it's your go to hunting knife. I'll start with this new Indian ridge traders drop point hunting knife, my Dad just gave to me I haven't got a chance to use it yet however he has used this style to gut many big game animals and says it's the best fixed blade he's ever had it's 440C great heat treat razor sharp, cocobolo handle brass guard and butt cap, blade length is 4 1/2". I will use it next winter to skin predators with.

Hello!

Here are some recent hunter-ish additions of mine by Dionatam Franco. It's sort of a matched yet different set (with yellowish and redish Amboyna) - got these for looking only:

(nevermind the slightly larger knife in the image)

Best regards,
Alex

I'm sporting a Hurak as a hunter right now

Beautiful knife countrystrong . I love the older style skinners .

Hello!

Joe - that Lurquin is a very interesting but intriguing choice! I really like your style! :) Great video as well!

These four are my current user layout:

(2x Petr Dohnal in Elmax and 2x Milan Mozolic in W5)

The smaller Mozolic has been my main EDC for quite some time now. I think you might like one of these as well, Joe. ;) (maybe not in hornbeam burl...)

Best regards,
Alex

My most often used custom hunter. Made by Mike Williams. I recently bought a 3/4 sized version of this same knife for my son, since he kept using mine.

Nice rig you got set up there. Like the approach and concept for the trip. Would work very will here in the Spillway.

Yes sir. I'm totally taken by it. The blade shape works well for so many things, the handle fits like a dream and it's lightweight and ground thin like a hunting/skinning knife should be.
Plus, Phillip's damascus is kinda purty too.

I have a few, but I don't use them. Here's the newest one in my collection from Mike Quesenberry.

The only knife I have that is hunter-like and gets used a bit is this one by Eric Markman

Hi

This is the knife I take out camping / hunting with me. I made this one from Hitachi white paper steel for the blade, tan Micarta scales with blue liners and a Kydex sheath that sits on my left hip.

Cheers

Steve

Another opportunity to show off Elvis, a modern custom riff on the Marbles' Ideal by David Stifle. It isn't apparent in this picture but it is custom engraved as a tribute to my late father, a veteran of WWII. Other items in the picture are related.
