I didn't see a thread dedicated to the humble (and sometimes not so humble fancy) Friction Folder, after a forum search.

Let's see what you have! All Traditional Friction Folders welcome; Any Country of Origin, Any Age/Condition, with or without the Opinel type Ring Lock, or the MAM "Press To Release" liner lock. However, I don't think a slipjoint with a busted backspring qualifies. (sorry about that.)

Recently ordered MAM "medium" MAM MAM3A (not my photo) with a 3.5 inch blade. It should arrive mid-week. 😁
Edit: it arrived Monday afternoon, December 13th. So much for 13 being a "unlucky" number.
It and the sheepsfoot shown below have been in my R.F.P. since.
Both are 4 inch closed with a 3.25 inch blade.

The blade was a little stiff opening the last 40° or so, so I put a drop of that venerable 3-In-One sewing machine oil on the pivot. TaRn't stiff no more. 😁 Also dry stropped the edge.

Another MAM. This one a large hair over 4 inch closed Sheepsfoot, with a 3.25 inch blade.

Neither of mine have the blade lock.
I never used the ring lock on my Opinel N°8 (it went AWOL years ago) so why spend extra for a feature I'll never use?

The "Banana Peel" - made by L.T. Wright for Woodsmonkey. These are designed to be modular, and we should soon see a variety of handle and blade options offered as stand-alone items so one can easily mix and match according to whim and the task at hand. Available in a few different blade shapes, with micarta handles and this one is AEB-L steel, but they are also available in A2.

Very comfortable, rounded handle and one thing I really like on these is the length of the lever, vs the Svord 'Peasant' for example. The lever on the BP is a reasonable length to perform its intended purpose, but short enough that when the knife is closed, it's not a big deal to pocket carry it at all.
