Show prototype models...

Hey guys,

Been looking around on the internet for a few SOG knives... Turns out that I came across a "SHOT show" prototype somewhere out there in the web.

My query is, compared to the normal model, is this worth any more value than a regular production model? The prototype has the words "Shot show 200x" marked. Given a choice, would you snap up the prototype or a regular production model?

Thanks guys for your opinions...

I would think GOOD Prototypes will be worth more than a regular production model due to the low number of knives (prototypes) made

Hi Jets,

Haha remember seeing you over at knifeforums! :D Seems pretty dead there eh? I tried to stroke things up there but anyway nobody seems to be into SOG there! :foot:

Back to the topic, do you know if the prototypes look like the production models? If you look at the trident bowie on SOG's blog, the prototype model has the 'SOG' logo etched on quite differently... I also wonder if the prototype comes with some kind of thing that identifies it as a genuine SOG, like a certificate.
