Yeah Guyon, I know, this isn't what you were thinking when you said "Show Some Koa Wood", but it's a slow evening.....

The frame of this print is Koa. It was made and gifted to my wife and I by a friend who just might have more Koa stashed than anyone, anywhere......Quite a story/legend behind the Raven & Cormorant print as well, but better suited for the Pacific Northwest Indian forum, if there is one.....

Thanks for allowing me the diversion, we will now return to our previously scheduled program: "Buck Knives".....Mike

One thing that I should mention, that doesn't really show in the pics, is a sort of 3D iridescent quality to the wood. The bands through the wood seem to shift as you move the knife. Really quite beautiful to see.
