Given enough time, there are things in life that we regret giving away or selling; nice firearms, fun cars, that condo on Maui, and just about every Randall Made knife that you've let get away. In keeping with that theme (well, the last part anyway), I'll start...

A very nice Solingen Fighter - not something seen every day

Most of the knives in the early years of my collecting, now moved on to others.

A Fireman Special 'Search and Rescue' etched knife - I've owned both SN's #30 & #31

An unused 1964 vintage 'Ward Gay Special', Model #20, in Brown Canvas Micarta, purchased from the original owner.

Just about every RMK Model #14 'Attack' in the CDT (Cut-Down Tang) configuration; especially this one with a flawless Water-Buffalo Horn handle... :D

What about you? Which Randall Made knives got away from you...

I've had my share as well...
This was my first Randall, a 10-3 that raised money for a good cause

My Solingen crutchtip survival knife got away from me when my '65 GTO was stolen from the parking spot outside my apartment in '68. The knife and sheath were in the trunk. Loved the knife; loved the car.

Shel,

As I think you know, I started out collecting any old Randall that I thought I couldn't live without. After quickly running out of $, I had no choice but to narrow the scope of my efforts. The easy answer was Model 3's as I had inherited one from my Father. In order to fund my next old Model 3 purchase, I had to turn lose of another model. Bottom line is that I had some pretty nice Randalls pass through my hands over the years. Here's an example: It's an early 50's 2-7 that was remarkable in that it was dead mint with a flawless ivory handle and had a solid nickel silver butt cap! The photos were taken by Miles (I could never produce pics that good):

Best,

Had a nice BB 5-6 stag that made my Spidey senses tingle when I bought it,,, Traded it to Sheldon, and he later unlocked the mystery of the "Stockman Sheaths". Don't regret the deal , it was more than fair. Still a cool knife,,,,,, but he had that mint #16 Pancake with papers… Give some to get some!!

Great little knife, thanks for the trip down memory lane. Bought her at a Blade show…. sweated over that all weekend , finally pulled the trigger…. something about the sheath, and knife….
