Let's see 'em! From Maine to Florida to Montana to Kalifornia and beyond!

We have good people around the world in this Cantina, celebrating good cheer on this solstice midwinter day. We may never all visit together, but we can visit.

Merry Christmas! Now upload your tree!

I don't have a picture of our tree to post, but I certainly wish everyone a safe, blessed and joyous holiday season.

My tree has lights. That's it. I dressed it, the cat undressed it, I dressed it, the cat undressed, I dressed it, the cat.........................I gave up and undressed it............LOL. But the lights are still fun.

Here's ours. Ain't it a beauty? In the past we've always had natural trees, but this year we opted for easier and less mess.

"What's that gold ornament?" the visitor asked. "Which one?" I said.

"The round one, with those funny symbols on it," the visitor persisted. "Where'd that come from?"

"Oh, that one," I said. "Did you ever see 'Raiders of the Lost Ark?' Well, that medallion is called the Medallion of the Six Kamis, and it has a very interesting story behind it... I got it last year from a shadowy figure known as Kami Sherpa, who brought it down from the mountains of Nepal. There are more than one of those medallions, but not many. Some say they were found in a crashed UFO, buried millenia ago under Himalayan glacier ice... "

Well, thanks, M22; house is a little too close to a swampy area. We've had flooding issues.

The Medallion of the Six Kamis adds something *spiritual* to the tree. There are lots of forum threads about them; search "kami medallion."

Grew up on the smallest, sorriest excuse for a christmas tree farm you could ever imagine. Old dad was too cheap to spring for irrigation and our hero spent his formative years standing in th blazing july sun with a hose and a bucket. Fill bucket, empty bucket, move bucket to next tree........... and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and.............................................................................................!!!!!!!
Thanks dad.
