I want to see your shops, and show mine off too. Take some pics, I want to see where you do your modifications and projects.

This is my shop at home. It is a lot nicer than the shop at work, the main differences being that they have a mill at work and their grinder is an 8" model whereas mine at home is a 6". The other tools at work are cheapies. At home I've spent several years acquiring tools. I enjoy rebuilding old machines and have done several rebuilds on finds from W.M. Redmond and Sons (http://www.redmond-machinery.com/). They have a large warehouse full of old used machines and various parts that is like Disney World for me. My shop is in my Garage which my wife has grasciously given up for me to use.

VERY nice, Roy.

That place would be an inspiration to work in.

My sympathies to your wife.

BTW, the link to 'redmond' includes the closing parenthesis, which gives a '404' error. Typing it manually works fine.

Thanks for the pics.

No reloading press or gun safe or even a beer cooler. That is cleary a girly-man work space.

Dude! reach down a grab a pair! Just kidding, nice shop man. :D

Just didn't take pictures of the beer cooler. Its in the corner there just out of sight believe me.

Mine would scare you. I used to think mine was bad. Then it got worse. :barf:

I have a cabinetmakers chest under construction that should control the worst of it, but I have four tills under way, and at least 4 other projects started.

Of course I didn't make the chest large enough for saws, I wanted the chest itself to be able to ride in the back of the cherokee, now I need a saw till too. Lets not talk about the power tools, or the two year old chuck box that isnt' completed either.

A workbench, a storage bench, an assembley table, 4 sawhorses (and I don't like a one of them) and no place to put anything!

45/70

On the day everything is finally in place, and there is a place for everything, I've always thought transcendence would accur...sort of a leap to God Head. .no more will earthly tools annoy or delight me, but I will be free of them for the task at hand.

It is hard to imagine Angels with screw drivers. They don't have to deal with stuff like that, do they? I/2" drills... where to put them... tying shoes every morning, sweeping, collecting scraps and learning to actually throw them away instead of saving them on a shelf.

I've got a collossal gun room mess to clean up so I can reload and service arms again. I can't believe I let it turn into a rat's nest.

Making order is essential, and when it goes astray, so does oneself. Friggen messes. At least I did the dishes and kitchen floor today. IF my environment was ever ship shape I'd dissolve immediately and go right up to the Wheel.

Is that Ezekial's wheel?

Yeah, I do my weapons servicing out there too, that's the bad thing.
