Howdy, folks.

Let's have some fun with this. This thread is a bit mall-ninja-ish, but I don't care. I'm willing to bet that most of us have something that is not really practical for everyday use, except in a non-modern warfare setting. They are fun to handle and harken back to a time when blades ruled the earth. Post up your swords, battle-axes, warhammers, macuahuitls, oversized hackers, etc...

I've got a cheap katana aging like fine wine in my closet:

and this CS machete is good for nothing besides the end of lawful society:

No picks yet but xl g10 espada, cs Spartan, cl voyager, and today I picked up a Remington 870 express with 18.5" barrel :D

Its post blades ruled the world but its not practical for every day use and it is a purpose built weapon of war :)

Did the war thing waaaaay back before they invented yellow ribbons. Didn't like it. No sir didn't like it one bit.

Rustic but modern muck stuff up Fallen Oak Forge goodness.

This is my next one. Quite a bit more practical, but he hit the balance of traditional and Americanized tanto I was looking for out of the park.

The first one is my camp blade made of 5160, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't buy it for the zombie apocalypse. The second one will see outdoors use as well but is being bought specifically to be mounted to my SHTF vest.

The yellow ribbon thing came from the civil war...so were you in the Revolutionary War?

Now if I could only find the Thunderbolt wrapper that goes around it....
