What knife have you guys proven to take any kind of abuse?
Mine is the trusty old Marttiini Martef-coated Skinner. It was my first ''real'' knife, I got it when I was I think 8 or 9. I've cut, whittled, chopped, pried and batoned with it and I've even thrown it a few times. The coating is worn to hell, the brass is tarnished and worn and the rubber handle has darkened in color a bit.

Really? 100 views and no replies? I thought this was a knife forum.

It is. There is not much response because this topic has come up many times in the past. You should be able to search for similar threads to find pics. Why is there a big nick in your blade? You need to sharpen that out :p.

I'll bite, but some are cell phone pics.
Its been a little under a year with the A100 it still gets beat on, the Delica now lives in NC with my sister who works at a zoo, that kissing Crane soddie has a cushie life in my desk at work now, and the RC3 is still beat on like a red headed step child, but it likes it (and yes, it originally had 5 serrations I just didn't bother sharpening one of them after a while). :D

Here's my EDC Small 21 -- pretty hideous, eh?!

Yeah, I take care of my babies (touch up blade as needed; clean with a toothbrush every few days to remove pocket lint; disassemble/lube every few months; re-sand scales once a year (? -- haven't had to this but once so far).

It was even deeper before I started sharpening with a stone. I was actually chopping down a small tree with it and I think I hit a rock.

Why do those two blades look so different?

Two and a half years of demolition/renovation work tends to do that. Especially when you can't stand using a dull knife. I've reground the blade twice when the edge got too thick, and I need to do it again. A few more years and I may have to break out that replacement. ;)

That's one of my most used knives, taken apart for cleaning a few years ago.
