So after having my Sebenza for nearly a week now the first few key marks have shown up on it from being in with my keys at work (kinda forgot). I placed a thread in the General Discussion area asking to to remove them and thankfully most said don't really worry about it, it just adds character. Kinda got me to thinking that I'd like to see your used Sebenza's and all their "character".

So bring em' in fellas! Let's see those Sebenza workhorses, and all their scars!

I purchased my small regular Sebbie in 2000. It has been my most regular carry knife since then. I sometimes switch off with an SnG depending on the mission of the day.

He is shown here resting on his carry companion, a favorite SAK Soldier, down by the goldfish pond.

The handles are scratched up quite a bit but don't show up well in the cell phone camera pic. (I buy knives and tools, not nice cameras.)

My EDC knives get used mostly for woodworking duties so they are sharpened a lot. Close examination of the blade will show that it has been sharpened so many times it has lost some of its "belly" and is beginning to resemble a classic style blade. There is an old post around somewhere about this.

As others have said, don't sweat the scratches.

Cheers,
dan :)

That's acid etching on the blade where I punctured the little plastic carton on a battery acid refill some years ago. I hope the scratches on the handle show up...

Love this knife. :)

Professor.

Jab,

I like the lanyard you have...

is it all one piece of cord or multiple pieces wrapped around another piece.

thanks

Hey fireroad,

Thanks - It's the same as the ones that come tied on Sebenzas. It's all one piece and I basically just double knotted the end that's attached to the knife and tied a shorter version of the "Reeve knot" on the other end. It's the perfect length for me to be able to insert my middle finger for retention while still maintaining the ability to open and close the knife. I usually tie these on my user knives even though a simple knot would serve just as well but where's the fun in that? ;).
