A couple of recent threads on the Buck 110 got me to thinking once again about ordering from Pete's Custom Shop. I don't know why I haven't yet. For $84, you can get a really nice looking BG42 knife. For not too much more money, you can upgrade the scales from Buck's standard choices.

BuzzBait posted a great pic of a custom 110 in one of those threads. I was wondering if others of you would like to post pictures of your customized version.

Anybody actually shell out the $150 for the Mother of Pearl scales?

That would be me!

I ordered mine from Pete's Custom Shop and have never had a regret. I ordered mine with silver bolsters, a damascus blade with my initials, and the MOP scales. The scales are just beautiful. Great depth and layering, while displaying contrasting colors of white, green, blue, aqua marine, and pink. Reeally nice.

I sent it off to Gary Graley, who crafted a fine horizontal custom sheath for it.

Al, I'd love to see a pic if you've got some way to post one.

I just ordered $537 worth of 110s and I'm not done yet.

#1: Brown elk horn handle, BG-42 satin finish blade, silver bolster, rivets, engraved rear bolster.

#2: Asian waterbuffalo handle, Damascus blade, steel bolster, engraved rear bolster.

#3: MOP handle, Damascus blade, silver bolster, engraved rear bolster.

Now we just need to get Folsom in here. He has something like 20 Pete 110's

A gross exaggeration... only 9, plus 2 560's converted to BG42 blades:

The fourth one from the left is a standard 110, but I have added a Koa handled one with Brass bolsters and BG42 blade.

I carry one or another of these most days, but the leftmost one is Damascus and Oak, and may be my favorite, so yes I do use a damascus as a daily carry. I can't say I've worked it real hard, but I like the way the blade stays sharp, and touches up nice with a steel. Biggest problem is a big scratch across the ral bolster, but thats how it goes!

There are 3-4 more I'd like to get.
Better pictures are posted in an old thread called "Pete's Pics" on the Buck forum.
