This knife was made by Dan Graves. The blade, the guard, and all the fittings are made from his own damascus.

Kyle is one of my favorite makers just now. A great guy I'm lucky to be able to call a friend. Here is a little integral I got from him last year along with a few other damasus pieces from other makers. (Dave Lisch, Jimmy Chin and some other guy that's not important ).

Nice stuff. As someone who has made a bit of damascus of late and seen a lot more top drawer stuff, one thing that puzzles me is why some makers who make VERY elaborate knives, typically high zoot folders, chose to use rather pedestrian and sometimes downright cheap "commercial" damascus for blade steel.

Many people dont understand all the work that goes into it, so sometimes I think the appreciation might be lost. I adore damascus blades although they may not be the most practical.

Yeah I love the Damascus Kershaws.. All of them are Alabama Damascus except the Boy Scout Shallot is Thomas Damascus... Just picked up Zing and another Shallot..
