This is not my shop - wish it was.
Found this on the web - anyone know who's shop it is?

I'll have to snap a photo of my work area.

Share your shop photos here if you like?

Thanks!

After looking at it closer - I thought this could be Al's space?

I would need to order a few thousand dollars of stuff to catch up.....:D:thumbup:

My shop is a table with a granite for stamp work, a cutting board and tools in a roll away cabinet.

I still have an inferiority complex from seeing the one above...

Holy Crap! Thats nice! I have very old pics of Al's work space from the 60's and its not quite the same as this. I really like the station approach here, very specific and centered to tooling. Reminds me of a metal smiths work station, one of my loves from college. I studied under a nationally recognized silver smith, that professor was hard core. And mean, yea mean. :p

I have a dedicated shop and I am very envious of this set up! WOW!

Looking at the chair, it appears that the initials are PCM?

That's definitely Peter Main's Work Studio. Here's a picture I had saved of Peter Main sitting there. If you've never visited his website, you should. His leatherwork is amazing.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I don't think that's Al Stohlman's workshop. According to his website, Peter Main helped Ann Stohlman pack up the Stohlman workshop after Al's passing and later reconstruct it in a museum in Sheridan, Wyoming.

I need to revise my answer. It is Peter Mains studio, but it is not Al Stolhman workstation. Als workstation is preserved as he and his wife is as they left it after Als passing. Peter Main acquired the workstation and it is currently on display in a museum. I remember reading somewhere peter had it dismantled and moved it then reassembled. My answer last night was in haste and fueled by a touch of of Arrogant Bastard ale. I stand corrected.

Peters work is in and from another planet than us mere mortals. He has some boot tops he has completed recently that should be in an art museum, not on boots. Inwill try to dig up photos when I get to computer.

I posted this in the SHEATHS & SUCH forum already, but thought you all may want to see it?

I came across this shop photo and started wondering who's it was? And that took me to the guy it belongs to.

Peter Main is his name and his work is off the hook.....

You should check out his web site...... www.petermain.com

now that is some incredible leather work! Very impressive.

Now that is some incredible organization. :p

Thanks for posting. The rawhide inserts are a neat idea and something I might have to borrow.

WOW! Is all I can say, beautiful, I am always amazed at how creative people can be with such a simple object!

Peter Main still sells the best modeling tool in the leather business. You have to email him to get one. It won't make you as good as he is, as I had hoped, ha, but it doesn't hurt.
I found his email address in outlook when I bought mine a couple years ago. I don't know if it still works, but here it is: petergmain@msn.com
