I do my work in a spare bedroom, so a dremel is my sole power tool...

What kind of set up do y'all have?

I'd have to dig it out of the pile of scraps and shavings...... :o

I have a big mess atop and under an old desk. It's about as organized as my workshed where I work on knives.

About every 30 seconds I'm looking for a tool saying, "Where's my goddang *insert name of tool here*".

my work area is where ever I can place my cardboard box and tool box. Living in student housing doesn't give me much room to set things up, so I keep things packed away when not in use. Sorry no pics.

I'll take some pix of it when I can get the wife to come in and clean it up some...She says..." neva happin GI":thumbdn:

I'm a bit embarrassed to show mine. Let me clean it first. :D

Shoot y'all, I figured I was going to be the one to be embarrassed. I have been at this one year, and have zero power tools. You'll note you can't see the floor in my pic...covered in leather bits and stuff, stained carpet from dyes and such. :o

Yeah this will be embarassing. :D I'll be heading to the shop soon to get working on orders and I'll try snapping some pics. I'll tell you this - it's nothing to write home about! But it works...

Ok, here is my workshop. First up is the bench with drill press and vise on the right, stereo upper left, tools everywhere. I had the belt sander out because I just edged the sheath that's sitting on the bench partly stitched. When I'm not using the belt sander it goes on some shelves behind the bench.

A close-up of the messy side of the bench. I'm out of drawers for fasteners so currently they're taking up valuable space on the bench, alas. I use the goggles and mask when I'm using the belt sander.

To the left of the messy side of the bench is my chest of fasteners. It's handy being able to grab out exactly what I need as I need it.

Left of the chest are the shelves full of dye, stain, thread, lace, and tools.

Behind the bench is another set of shelves with scraps, tools, failed projects, sharpening gear, etc. The box on the chair is my work queue with print-outs of orders.

Behind the wall with the dye and such I've got the shop press.

And inside the house, usually covered from light, is my stash of leather beyond what's laying around in the shop.

That's my shop.

Nice tour!! You've got a sweet set up. :)

Here's my little shop. I could use some more room! 1. The work bench from the left 2. Artisan toro 4000 stitcher 3. workbench from the right
4. Artisan 797AB sewing machine. 5. Landis 6" hand crank splitter. I have a shoe finisher out in the garage that I do my edge sanding on, and there's quite a bit more packed into my little 8' X 24' domain that doesn't show in the photos. I have a large leather storage cabinet and a 48" square poly cutting board table down in the other end of the shop from the work bench. Most, but not all of my hand tools are shown in the work bench photos, and all my various hardware items are stored either above the bench or below in the cabinets there.

That, my friend, shows evidence of a tool addiction!

I can arrange an intervention, and relieve you of some of those tools, er, nasty addicitive things. Especially that big black scary machine. :)
