Go here and give Spark the thumbs-up we need to get a new passaround forum going.

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=256454

If you've ever participated in one - you know how hard it is sometimes to keep track of people (let alone keep track of the review thread!)

Take a minute off your busy schedule and let Spark know we need a forum dedicated to passarounds and we need it now!

Thanks!!!

Dan

Everyone that says "I would have participated in a passaround but I didn't see the thread until too late!" should post their support. :)

Yep!

Keep those votes coming and keep this at the top.

Dan

I posted in the linked thread when i seen this,
but i'll say it here too:

This is an excellent idea and i think it can be a great thing for this community. Please start a topic dedicated to pass arounds!

K.V. hmm, how much is it worth to ya??

(On the other hand gettin the weird lefties off by themeselvesmight be a good idea :p )

dylan - go to the thread linked above and add your name to it. We need all the help we can get.

nice knife in the avatar, btw...!!

Dan

Yeah, Passarounds are the neatest thing since,....well I forget. :)
But they're really good
Tom

It just occurred to me that
if there's a forum for passarounds
then increased participation.
then it would be tougher for me to get in
OH NO!
maybe the forum should be hidden somewhere
They are the greatest tho

Hehe, it was in there before I even posted above :D

maybe passarounds can be its own sub-section like "general knife discussion" or "knife community", within the passaround section we would find a forum for each part of the world/country. (eg. USA, CANADA, ASIA...etc..):)

i have seen some folks posting, especially in this thread:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=257988&highlight=passaround

regarding why they have'nt participated. some have said due to being outside the USA. if we had a passarounds section, and someone willing to attempt to organize a pass in another country, it could begin with a few polls and if there's enough ppl to support it, i'd suggest designation by country right in the thread title.

in example, a thread's subject could be:
"CANADIAN B/M Balisong" or "US CRKT Folder"
"BRAZIL Emerson passaround" Etc.

now i can see Canada having enough members here to possibly support a pass around, and maybe in time warrant their own section, i'm really not sure of the rest of the world tho. as far as i'm concerned, Canadians would certainly have enough room in the general topic space... to divide it up at the start would be too much IMHO.

I think just getting the area going would be a big help. alot of folks don't understand passes, some never see them, and some are just against it. getting outside of the everyday traffic would give more of a spotlight on what could develop into a really nice club-type activity. it seems to have gone very well thus far!

if for some reason it does'nt work out as we're speculating it will, the forum could be deleted faster than it was constructed.
