I'm not sure it had a specific task. It was simple to grind, and useful for most things. It's not a skinner, but for most daily tasks of opening and trimming and apple slicing, it works a treat!!
The checkered handle is by Esnyx!!

tbh CC, i am not a ''Set Collector'', thats not my goal and go for...
but maybe one fine day a soupe bone version of the Short Beak ancient TC will fall into my lap.

I agree with Charlie, and let's not forget that, once, the most common purpose for a knife was to assist in eating, since inns, and even private homes, did not provide their guests with cutlery
