Showering with alox?

Has any one done this? .. I wear a cadet clipped with a small s binder to my gold chain ( super convenient esp when wearing ball shorts) I normally take it off for showers but am going to be traveling and potentially going to have to shower amoungst the sort of sticky fingered sort that prey on travelers so if like to leave it on ... How does the alox scales hold up to water ... (I'm sure the steel will be fine) is there something I can do to make it more waterproof?
 
I've never found myself in this same situation, but I have spent plenty of time in the river with a SAK in my pocket. So long as you dry it out well when you are done, I don't see it being a problem. Make sure to oil the joints of course...
 
yeah, just blow it out when you get out of the shower and it will be fine. to be honest, sweat is more corrosive to the aluminum that anything else, so a good rinse will probably be good for it.
Another option, Seal Line Urban Tote. I used one as a shower bag when working places that had showers but no real change areas. either you were trying to hang everything from one hook, trying to keep everything dry, or having to leave clothes out in the open. Not my idea of a good time. far easiser for me to just throw everything in the dry-bag, seal it up, and have no risk of loosing anything while showering.
 
This begs the question - What are you going to do with your wallet, etc. while in the shower?

As to the knife, it'll be fine wet or dry.
 
I've put the Soldier in the dishwasher, and blew it out with canned air after, then two drops of oil on the pivots for years no probs. Only after gunked up though.
 
I wish I had taken pics of my soldiers that I cleaned tile grout out of (not my mess, I rescued them from neglect) that stuff is pretty corrosive, and the worst they have is some minor pitting. (and the one that was sharpened like a lawn mower blade) But they are tough, you won't go wrong cleaning it too much.
 
And here i was, expecting to see a picture of sb getting sprayed with aloxes... Time to go to bed
