Don't start threads here often, but thought I'd show off the first full test run of the slot cutter I built last weekend.

Still a bit of wobble on this one from a sticky piston that needed some lube, but I'm digging it.

Very nice, I've done slots before by drilling a row of holes and dremeling out the excess but it's a pain to do.

I hear ya. Waaaay too much of a hassle. This thing will do set in under a minute though with no real work from me, so I'm digging that. Width and length are adjustable on a whim as well. Good stuff. Maybe $250 in parts and the loss of a couple of feet of floor space, but well worth it to never have to do it manually again.
 
Sounds like a nice set up. You'll be a lot more likely to do slots now. :thumbup:
