So my friend just started making knives. The thing is all he has is a grinder and file. And a hand held band saw. He has just started and this was my Christmas gift. I like the design very much. I am thinking of seeing if Rich can sharpen it for me. Hope this is the right place for this thread. Also I am sure he would appreciate feedback and critiques.
The blade is 1095 High carbon.
3/16" thick
It is a beast. I can't wait to get a sheath made for it. I am trying to tell him he needs to start making and selling them.
Hope you guys enjoy.

Is that a patina? if so it is very well done. tell your friend his next tool has got to be a drill press.

tell him great looking blade! when he's ready for a paying customer,i'm first in line.love the design.looks beefy enough to abuse without worry!
Well done!

Pretty darn nice for a beginner!!
The handle is really nice but it looks a little
square, Round off the edges and I would consider
it close to perfect. Really nice though. I would buy one.

I plan to round of the edges a bit. I will pass on the compliments. He only started about 1 month ago and has made several. Can you tell he has a thing for zt. Blades.
