Behold my most prized possession. Here's literally the only info I found online

HAMDEN NON-CATALOG STYLE 11: 7 inch, Clip Point, Full Tang Blade; With Steel Guard; Nickel-Chrome Moly Steel; 1-1/2 Sharpened Edges; Rock Maple Standard Type Handle with Poured Lead Rivets; Has Extended Tang; Has Lanyard Hole in Handle;
The Style 11 is basically a Style 9 Marine model with an added crossguard. Probably made for those GIs who wanted a knife that wouldn't allow a wet or slippery hand to slide forward onto the blade under a forceful thrust.

I can’t see anything in the link because Imgur sucks, just shows me randomness in a whole new browser tab. I wish people would use any other host besides Imgur.

Imgur works fine....probably something in your browser is interfering....

Try a thin piece of tracing or tissue paper. Gently rub the side of a pencil lead on the paper over the writing.
NOT THE POINT of the pencil.
Ever so lightly color the spot in. The writing should show up as white.

Old spy trick from back in the days when people wrote things.
:)

Cool old knife. The stories it could tell, hope if you get a name off the etching we could find out who owned it and if used in wartime. I have been interested in the older ones of awhile.
