Can anyone give me any info. on one of these, and maybe a fair market value on one?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to our forum.
A 'collaboration' knife designed by Michael Walker and Ron Lake.

Depends which model you have, as there were two, the original made with high tech- premium materials (SLW1) or the Schrade+Steel version (SLW2).
I see the '2' model selling for around $20 on eBay. I do not know the present value of a '1' model.

Here are some past threads focusing on this knife. Note the hefty MSRP on the SLW1.

Can any of you other members add more?

Thanks for the info.
I think I was wrong on the 1 0f 500, and believe it was 1 of 1000.
I should be receiving the knife in a few days. It's nib, paper, and I believe a zipper pouch. I'll let you know with some pics.

Thanks

We look forward to reading of your report. 1 of 1000? That sounds like the more expensive first issue.

Ok here is a couple of the pictures. <<<pictures moved to the trade forum>>> Knife arrived to day, and I'm impressed.
Blade flies out with just a flick of my thumbnail.
This is what I found out, and copied from the original owners manual, and Limited Edition knife registration certificate. Only 1000 of these knives were to be produced. The first 500 will feature "First Production Run" markings.
Handle crafted from "Zylite" which is a combination of Zytel, and Kevlar fiber.
Blade is BG10 steel. All component hardware, including the pocket clip is titanium.
Anything else anyone has to add as to today's value, knives sold recently. will be appreciated.

Here is the last place I remember seeing it sold, though there were several other outlets for the SLW1.....

Here is a description, from the site. Note the blade steel is BG-42.......

S-LW Lake & Walker. 4" closed framelock. BG-42 steel blade with ambidextrous thumb stud. Dark gray Zylite handles with titanium pocket clip. Blade features sliding safety switch. Serial numbered. Comes in black nylon zipper storage pouch. $172.50

I have never done business with these folks, so I'm not shilling in any way....I'm only posting this to help answer a forumite's question.

Hope that helps a little.

Seems like you got one of the more expensive models. Good for you!

You know, all I had ever seen and handled was the less expensive 2 model. So I never really paid any attention to the 'real thing'. I wonder if, making a cheaper version of the knife, Schrade 'cheapened' both models in the publics eye? Local knife shop has one in the 'used' display case (always of most interest to me) and next stop in I will look at it.
