First thing, wife is out of town with the camera- no pics yet.
Soooooo, I went to the Gun & Knife show looking for a pearl in a pig pen.
G & K shows are a little crowded these days and estate sales are usually slim pickins.
Seems like the families have already pocketed the knives.
I found one knife, an unsharpened, mint Shrade Walden 787 Improved Muskrat knife
with single spring and no wobble blade play. The main blade is etched (?) with
Improved Muskrat Knife along the blade. 787 on the flip side. The sides are brown jig
and shield is labeled Improved Muskrat. I believe 1095 was used then. The blades
look to be the same. Had one been a wharncliffe, I would have spotted myself.
This knife has sat in a drawer for years and now has come home to live and work with me.
It will be used, gently. As I slice an apple with it, I'll imagine cleaning a trout or something bigger.
