shrunk watchband leather!!

i have a 24mm "legend" leather watchband that i got from strapculture.com. it's exceedingly nice, and i am very pleased with the purchase.

i, however, was a total boob and wore it into the shower, pool, etc. the leather pretty much immediately shrunk up, in such a way that the band is no longer flush with the lugs on the watch. does that make sense? there's about a 2mm gap between the band and the lug. the watchband is more of like a 22mm width, now...


is my band ruined forever? anyone know any ways i can rectify this situation?

Have you tried stretching it? Just grasp it in your hands and pull. If it doesn't work dry try dampening it a little. You don't have to soak it, just dampen it a little.
