Hey Guys,
I don't know if any of you have ever wanted a knife so bad you dreamt about it before, but I wonder... Do any of you guys know if it would be possible to commission an INFI SHSHII in 5/16's with the A2 profile from the Custom Shop? I would nearly sell one of my kidneys to get my hands on another one...

I need a new, less self-destructive hobby... :D :D :D :D ...

Walking Man, the A2 SHSH had a really subtle but distinct difference from the later INFI SH's I just liked the profile of the one I had versus some of the ones that I see in INFI that came later. I am talking about the ones with the striped- looking handles. MGuy, Yeah I'd do it as long as I didn't have to trade for Jerry's :D :D

Just hang loose and keep your eyes open. I have 2 that were both sold to me as A2 and later those infi dimples showed up when I oiled them. Also have an A2 so the difference is readily apparent. One is 5/16 and the other a bit thinner at .295. The A2 is quite smooth.

What I'm dreaming of is a 5/16 SHBA in INFI with the A2 grind. Also sold to me as A2. I know there is 1 more out there cause Gator97 sold one a few months back. Was totally broke after Christmas and missed out. I EDC this bad boy and would love to have a back up. Wish I knew who snagged it, have some interesting trades. Busse's are much more fun when you actually get to carry them rather than sitting in a safe.

Tell me about it, anyone who's ever posted about how overpriced a Busse is seems to clam up as soon as they use it. They make their money being beaten like a red-headed step child. Now all I have to do is sell my SIG 228...

NO REGRETS!! :D

Well,
I think that the SH's with the Bird's beaks were all A2 right? I am looking for one with that blade shape but in INFI. Look up at Skunk's pic, the bead blasted one is right on the money.

?????? The BB one and the one below it appear identical to me. Slight difference in the micarta, but the blades, grinds etc look the same. Mine are like the coated one on the bottom.

The SHSHI is a whole different animal.

Rob

Yes, they are INFI. Apparently some very early INFI blades were ground on the same equipment that the A2 was ground on hence the A2 grind lines. I have a later SHSHII that has the curved INFI plunge line grind.

Hey Stinky, I understand you just joined the Hogs with Hearts program!!!

Just in case you're looking for your first person to sponsor I know a guy that needs that exact SHSH in the bottom photo. He also could use one exactly like it with tubes:)

Someone please send help soon!

so, rob;
about the second one down...
can i see it at blade???

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to make BLADE this year.

What's with the SHSHII in the bottom pic? If it's Skunks pics being talked about. I mean, it's nice and I love mine, but a couple of years ago they were everywhere. Think I had about 7 at one time. Still have 3 that I'm sure of. One each of smooth bolts, slotted bolts and tubes. Perhaps a fourth lurking somewhere in the safe.

At that time everyone was going Ergo crazy and selling them off to fund purchases. I like the straights better and snapped up what I could. Still prefer the straights, don't even own a SH-E.

The FSH looks good, but I'm not going to sell a SHSH to fund it. LOL Maybe an Uncle or something. LOL Or, the LMS Proto or the fat DWMS. We'll see, there's no rush.
