Is there a way to tell if a SHSHII is infi or A2? I have two of them, one has smooth Micarta grips ,one has verticle grooved micarta, the shaping on the ricasso is different on both. They are both slotted bolts. any help appreciated, Dick.

Only if it has hollow rivets would it be assured to be INFI. Only Jerry can tell you for sure on yours, but as only a guess, the smooth handles one would probably be A2 and the grooved handle one INFI, but could also very well be A2.

try gun blue on them. a2 usually take's it infi not so much.

Did you figure out anything about your SHSHII's being Infi or A-2. Do you have one of each?

That's I've got an A-2 SHSHII, but I'd like to get one made of Infi also.

I do not remember asym ground A-2.

On the other hand all of the Asym factory grinds I remember were either on INFI or M-INFI.

Of course those particular braincells may have fallen victim to the war on drugs and alcohol.

This memory thing seems to be getting tougher.
