I took a small break from the Forums, and missed some very tasty news while off getting ready for...

... BLADE'07!

Where I will be looking forward to meeting a bunch of y'all while we trample, stomp, & mangle each other, around say... NOON on Friday??? LOL ;)

I did manage to send some knives ahead in hopes of a show & tell & handle session, not many, but highlights are a slightly customized FSH Variant & also the red FBM Prototype from the Knoboganzaaa. The Blues Warden is also in the box.

These showed here today... Too late for me to take to the Show, but here's a few pix. I took these with a new camera, lemme know what ya think compared to my other pix, cool?

These are INCREDIBLE! My first straight handled anything Busse. SWEET. GREAT in the hand, and WHO SHARPENED THESE???? :thumbup: WOW, nice GRINDAGE. I did mean to take a shot of the spine as the satin finish goes all around the edge & spine from tip to butt, unfortunately I forgot, so I'll try to add one later.

Ok, well... I'm pretty darn excited personally, as this will be my first knife show ever, and even though I'll probably feel like a newbie all over again, LMAO, I'm sure that it'll be a blast, and a heckuva good time to be had by all. Awesome pics, as usual!!! The resolution does look a bit better than before, but they have always looked great to me.

Two sweet SHSHV's you have there, awesome slabs on those babies:eek: Thats the one I was going for when my PC crashed that night.

...PLATINUM!!! That's freakin' COOL! Congrats, got an avatar picked out yet??? :D :thumbup:

And Second... :) The handles on the SHSHV are olive and black G-10. :thumbup: They feel smooth to the touch, like the FBM Proto's.
 
Nice camera work. The spatial resolution's a little better (the ability to record small physical details) but the spectral resolution and depth is much improved (true reproduction of small variations of color). The color saturation is excellent (the greens are quite intense and deep). How many megapixels is that?

My personal thanks for bringing the Red Proto. I shall ogle it with admiration and envy.

Of course, the Blue Warden is already a legend. Will it be coming along to Fogo?

As to seeing you at noon on Friday -- that's WAAY too late. I think we need to be standing at the entrance quite a bit sooner than that...

I'm yet to pick a pic fo my avatar. I'll try to make some new INFI pics in a couple of days... I have to work this weeked and it keeps me from going to the forest - natural environment of my INFI.... :D But better days are ahead:D

My "old" but certainly FAR from retired camera is a Canon EOS 20D... Full size SLR, 8.1Megapixel... The new??? A Leica C-Lux2 pocket camera. Tiny little thing, 7.2Megapixel, NO viewfinder, only the LCD... But it does take NICE rich color pix, and hopefully will overcome the crappy interior lighting of the convention center.

THIS was the very first pic taken, right out of the box... Not bad, huh?

...Um, NO I won't be using the Blues Warden @ Fogo's, LOL, I have a nice LrMr LE to use instead. :thumbup:

...And yes... I reckon it will be much earlier than NOON, but didja have to tell everyone??? :eek::eek: LMAO ;) :thumbup: I need every little break that I can get!! :D

Ok, here's a quick pic of the satin finished edge & spine of the SHSHV(s). Very nicely done, and a great touch, it really looks good. Also, the spine from the handle to the tip is rounded off somwhat. I love the way this, and the satin edge adds an element of class to the look of the knife :thumbup:

You got 2 of those?! Beautiful! That was the ONLY knife I asked for in the last 'Ganza, but no luck. When you're ready to share the love, let me know. :D Trade, cash, drinks at Blade, whatever....... (well.....:p )

My crappy $.89, 12 inch ruler sez 3/16 inches. LOL

resinguy, yeah, I'm flying in, so I shipped them and most of my luggage to avoid the possibility of sticky fingers at the airport. The SHSHV's were too late to go.
