Shure earphones for my iPod

A recent thread here recommending Shure noise-cancelling earphones convinced me to give them a try with my iPod. While searching for them on the internet and at my local MacMall retail store, I found that most places are charging at or near full retail price. Then I stumbled upon www.earphonesolutions.com and I'm glad I did. Their prices are significantly lower than the other sites I visited; low enough that I thought they might be too good to be true. To put things in perspective, I was able to purchase a pair of brand new E4cs for the same amount that the E3s would have cost me at the MacMall. Ordering was easy, shipping was fast, and the whole process went smoothly on all counts. Follow-up emails came at each juncture of the transaction. They even included their own user guide with tips for helping the customer get the most out of the Shure in-ear headphones.

Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else was thinking about taking the plunge.

Oh yeah, and they didn't charge me a nickel for shipping and handling.

Cool, thanks for the info.

Let us know how you like them after you've used them a bit.

I'd like to get a pair myself.

I've made *impulse purchases* that would probably make Paris Hilton hesitate, but $299 for a set of EAR BUDS - ouch. Please let us know if they're up to it.

Interestingly, the literature that the EarphoneSolutions folks provide states that it takes the average user about a week of use to fully appreciate what these earphones have to offer. I don't have that much time in yet, but the out-of-the-box performance is so much better than stock that I know I won't be sending these back.

And, yes, $299 is a lot for earphones, but at less than 2/3rds the price, they seem a least a bit more reasonable.
