Picked up a set of these on e-prey for a good price (NIB - open box)

The prime reason I got these...was to be able to listen to music and audiobooks while working in a noisy shop.
The "muting" by these earphones is incredible. :thumbup:
If you get them sealed correctly (takes just a couple seconds) you literally cut off the world around you.
I had some sound-isolating headphones...and they did a decent job of cutting down the noise...but I still had to turn the volume up.
With these, I have the volume at a much lower level. So, even though the earphones leave a distinct "feeling" in your ears for a minute or so after extended listening...the wear-n-tear on your "drums" is much less since the actual dB is within normal levels.
If you're considering a set of high-end audiophile earphones...Shure is the way to go. :thumbup:
