Hello all... My first post here. I'm really curious about this.

I have the opportunity to get this model for relatively cheap (under $200). I haven't seen anything posted anywhere about it for a few years. What's the consensus in the knife community these days? Is it still a desirable knife? I'll likely get it anyway, if for nothing else than to just own a Gold Class. LOL

that’s honestly really low for that knife. have you seen it yet? i haven’t ever heard of any clone 7505s, but the condition could be bad. if it looks good i would snap it up in a heartbeat.

I haven't seen any clones in my research, either. It was at a local auction where I had never seen quality knives before. This time they had this one along with a CRK Umnumzaan. I handled both and they both appeared legitimate (CRK is local, too, and I've handled many). The CRK jumped in price pretty quickly. The Benchmade stayed REALLY low for quite some time (under $80) and jumped near the end. I think these knives at that venue just flew under the radar.
Auction closed about an hour ago and I got the BM for $180 (+ fees). The CRK went for $205.

If it's a clone, they did a hell of a job. I might send it in for service and verification. Gamble between them keeping it or confirming value.
 
Damn...you just got that for a crazy steal, I bet they didn't even know it was an auto:eek:
 
That’s bananas! That knife is my grail knife and they never come up for sale for less than $600!

Funny thing about that... I only recently started collecting nicer knives and 2 newer Benchmades are my current edc and hunting knives (Bugout and Altitude). I know their current lineup well but had no idea about these previous models...
When I was researching this I saw how many people had it on their grail list a few years ago... When I won for that price I almost felt bad about posting the question. I was ready for the “I’ve wanted that knife forever and this ass just happens to get one for $180!!???!!”
 
Got my knife today! Could just use a cleaning... The auto action is strong. I wish it still had the box and whatnot but I can’t really complain for the price!
