Remember old Bullwinkle here?

GEC jigged some nice peachseed bone for this guy. Now they have spawned a brother for him. You have seen the stockman elsewhere, with different handles, but here it is in dark red Peachseed! Can't get enough of this stuff!!:D

Those are two of the nicest looking new old knives I've ever seen, Charlie. :D Congrats!

Nice colouring of that peachseed there Charlie, I am carrying the peachseeds Stag brother (of whom you know so well )today in fact! I like that jigging...that and the colour give the knife an "antique" look.

Beautiful scales, long pulls and swedges....Very classy. I like the two-bladed knife. Thanks for posting them Charlie.

Is that GEC`s new pocket sized moose pattern? Man, if there is a pattern to kick a jack outta my pocket, that would be it!

Are there half stops on that one?

Nice pair, Charlie. That bone has me really looking forward to this year's forum knife. I love how the jigging and the color go right up to the bolsters on those.

Love the pattern, the bone, and the slanted, pinched, and cut bolsters. Are these available now?

I really like the jigging pattern. To my eye that looks much better than what's on their blood red version. Was the moose a spec run of some sort?

The peach seed looks great. I was just looking at the calf roper yesterday and would have snapped one up if it was available with peach seed. ...What's the story behind the Bullwinkle etch?

Charlie, you have shown us many Schrade Cut. Co. knives with Peachseed jigging. SCC had more than 1 style of Peachseed jigging but all are tops as far as being most attractive. These GEC's are very nice but not as compelling as the original SCC styles.
Did GEC try to replicate the SCC style as best they could or were they trying for their own style and using SCC as inspiration ?
I think the old SCC's were machine jigged, so has it proved impossible so far to figure out how to exactly replicate the original ?
I'm sure you understand that i'm not knocking the fine work on these scales done by GEC, and that you too feel that the original SCC Peachseed is some of the very best bone jigging ever done. Do you think that is possible to exactly replicate this today ?

I think they will keep trying to make something as nice as the oldies, Roland. I've sent them pics of several examples, and Bill at GEC has his eye on the ball!
Keep watchin'.

Jake, talking to Bill their head man, I suggested Bullwinkle the Moose for their debut, and GEC ran with it!
I like a little humor in my life, and that etch has a nice blast from the past. For those serious folks, rubbing it off is inevitable anyway!

If any body can get it done, it would be Bill.

Hey Charlie, when was the last time you weighed you knives for poiund weight?

Greg

Hey Charlie, when was the last time you weighed you knives for pound weight?

Greg

Ummm . . .never. I suppose I could get a postal scale or some such. Why do you ask?

I think Greg may mean "how much do your knives weigh all together ?" If so you may need to get a Cube van and head to the nearest highway weigh scales that the logging trucks use. I think they go up to 250,000 pounds. Should be high enough.
