A quick photo tour of this year's Paris show. It was a nice one, got to meet a lot of friends and see some nice knives.
Got to meet Joss and put my fingerprints all over some of his Foggs. He's a cool guy and didn't hit me or anything :)

Rockstead stand, presenting the 2 new folders (fremelocks). Well made but to they are a bit on the expensive side. A lot actually.

Sacha Thiel and some of his knives. His work is top notch but quite hard to get lately.

Allen Elishewitz. Impressive fit and finish, good ergonomics, I liked a lot what he had on the table.

M. Okyasu, a dealer from Japan I think. The Young chute was cool but the buffallo horn scales are a BIG put-off for me.

I got to buy 2 knives, both slipjoints this year.
The first one is the "Dodu" by Eric Parmentier (Belgium). It's small, 2 1/3" blade. Has a half stop. I really like this little knife. Niolox steel blade and stabilized Amboina Burl scales.

The second one is a slipjoint by Raphael Durand (France).
Perfect fit and finish, fluid lines and generally a great knife. I had or handled pieces from some of the best slipjoint makers, he's is the same class. The blade is 3 1/8". RWL34 steel and carbon fiber handle.

that was awesome! Thanks Flava, you made my day!:)

Great pics!!!! I am now officially REALLY pissed off that I had to cancel my trip. Are you going to make it to Gembloux this year? Regardless, I need to talk to you and some of the other guys from France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, etc. about pricing before I go.:D

Wow - what a treat that was. Thanks for taking the time to share all those pics with us. The tiny Hogstrom dagger is one I would have liked to have taken home.

Roger

Thanks for taking the time to bring us all to Paris! Looks like a wonderful show.

Thank you! WOW, there were some amazing knives!!! What a great tour of the show. I really appreciate the time you took to post the pix.

Thanks Flavius for the look.
Eric Parmentier's mark looks very similar to Don Hanson's.
Beautiful knives. Especially those Bennicas.

Thanks for that! I absolutely love Cliff Parkers folders. Look at the ivory on that mammoth one. The other is Narwhal tusk which is pretty rare.

Those Bennicas are out of control.

Flavius, thank you very much. Great review!

I was woundering how the show was going.
I have a few good friends there but wont get
to talk to them until next week.
