Starting to wonder if I am coming down with some kind of knife illness. Which would be typical of me to have happen going into a holiday.
Has anyone else come down with this lately? These are my symptoms and a couple of them a rather disturbing.
Despite being able to go home early, I stayed at work using the fast internet connection to shop for this month's knife purchase. Ya, so far it sounds normal, but wait.
3 days since payday and I haven't bought this month's knife yet.
See what I mean about worse? WTH!
Have numerous candidates for purchase so no shortage in that area. Fixed and folders. Hell my wish list is 100 long and growing all the time. Added to the list today, just didn't actually commit to buying anything.
Just can't work up the enthusiasm to pull the trigger on anything. Bark River, Lionsteel, Arno Bernard, Laguiole, Le Theirs, Pattada, Hess, Boos Blades. Hell, even my low end "tack onto a Amazon order to get free shipping" reliable's like a Kershaw, SAK, or a Rat II in D2 aren't beckoning me.
Ok, some of the stuff on my wish list hasn't currently come up on the exchange. Such as a LNIB Shuffler or Roundhead in White CF. Or one of Jelio's Puukko's, so maybe I'm making too much of a big deal about it. I would almost certainly be buying if those beauties materialized at my price point - I hope.
But damn I seem to be in a shopping slump. What the hell happened to my "A" Game!?!? Anyone got an antidote???
As a self-diagnosis, I'm gonna go home and try to relax and unwind. Catch up on my sleep and get complete rest over the 4th. Which may require a 5th....
or two.
Hell of a time to have a broken icemaker in the freezer.

And remember, don't drink while setting off fireworks.
Do your drinking first. Then do the fireworks!
