Always wanted a nice lighter so I ordered myself a project, 60's vintage 14k Dunhill😎It currently has "Diana Shepard" very lightly engraved on the lid but this will be a blank canvas with a little bit of 400g sandpaper😈 Getting started with the lid of course😂

Aaaaand...it's done! All finished hand engraving this 1959 (if I'm reading the date code right) Dunhill "Rollagas", I love the way the different surface finishes pop on the 14k gold...and I don't have to worry about tarnish!😁

turned out great. I didn't pay attention that it was a 14k jacket on it. yeah even though ya posted a picture showing it. I blew past it to the work

how thick is that jacket? hope ya kept all the trimmings with the price of gold nowadays........

I didn't put calipers on it, but I'd guess around .025". I did try to save what I removed, there's about a 2.5g weight reduction after the work with about 2g of shavings and dust from sanding in my little collection cup😁
