Wow!-everything about this piece is amazing.Beautiful lines from the blade through the guard into the but,even into the sheath.Gorgeous ironwood and a classy hamon.And the carved details are great,thanks for sharing.

looks Great! Great job on the Guard and Contouring the Handle. Very Unique:thumbup:

This is a truly outstanding Bowie and Sheath in my opinion.
Your design flows extremely well and demonstrates how rustic and elegance can come together creating an extraordinary piece.

This is one of those pieces where you can't observe without wanting to hold.
You have created a handle and guard that's absolutely beautiful yet very ergonomically correct which flows perfectly into the sheath design.

Yep, this is very special in my opinion.

VERY nice Gerhard. It has a great "flow" to it, awesome hamon, and the ironwood has beautiful grain.

thank you all for your kind words- I appreciate it!

@kevin jones,
kevin, that bowie was one of those knives, where you begin to forge a blade with only a vague imagination of a silhouette with a curved guard...but then every step shows you clearly, what to do next.
the flow of the hamon continues into the upper part of the guard... its lower part had to flow into the fingergroove... and the last logical step was the curve in the sheath.

That is one incredible knife. You have such an exceptional eye for design... I'm envious!
