I got this blade from Bill over a week ago and as soon as I got it I knew this would be a great blade.
It has a blade length close to 5 inches 5160 flat ground, with a very cool desighn for a thumb ramp.
The edge was nice and "toothy" making it slice threw rope, twine from hay bales, feed sacks etc like a breeze.
The handle which is G-10 is the first for me in a fix blade and I must say I love this handle material, the handle on this blade fits my hand great with no dis comfort at all.
The sheath is of kydex and rides high and close to the body,it came with a tek lock which is also a first and I really like. The blade fits snug in the sheath and Bills kydex sheaths are excellent.
The edge holding on this blade is superb, like I said I have opend 50 bales of hay,cut alot of rope,I have whittled two walking sticks and a couple of tent pegs.
I used it to chop small squares out of ply wood when building a corral to fit around bolts.
In the kitchen I used it to slice up turkey breast, steak, and Italian sausage and it worked excellent.
I havent had a chance to take it out on the trail yet but it will go on my next trip.
This blade has yet to loose any of its edge
It is still as sharp as when Bill had sent it,still popping hairs off the arm.
If anyone is looking for a excellent camp knife, you really need to take a look at Bills blades.
As soon as I can get away for a while I will give another update,I couldnt be happier with this blade,I know it will serve as a great all around blade that could do just about everything except heavy chopping, but light chopping it has done very well.
Thanks again Bill.
