a good exercise for a man of 72.

Good exercise for a man of any age

Looks like a excellent test of both man and Blade

I don't know which is more impressive, the knife or the guy swinging it! I say probably the guy :) Good job!

Bill,

That is one of the best renditions of a kuk that I have ever seen.
The shape of the handle is very close to traditional, and the curvature and grind on the blade is very nice.
From what I have seen and read the only thing I could think of to possible improve it, would be make it a smidge thicker but then add a fuller like an angkhola which would lighten it up some and also help with it sticking when chopping thicker wood.

It is really a beautiful piece of work.
Do you do custom orders, and if so how much does that typically run ?
I am a fan of your Chinese Chopper also
Very nice work!

If you do custom work I would love to chat.

I'd be interested in one too. Very nice looking blade. What are the specs on it?

Great Kukri, Bill.

I recently got my hands on a 7" Siegle and it is the best knife I own. And that is saying a lot since I have many user blades.

Thats what I was thinking Mike, we lost a friend over something pretty silly in my opinion. I would think there are BIGGER fish to fry in BF. I bet he is doing just fine though.

OMG, hard to believe we lost such a valuable member over chubbies and beaver tails.

Big Mike

Or he could have just followed the rules and warnings and still be around. Either way it's just the interwebs.

Sourpuss, (just kidding). Rules are sometimes relative here on BF. He broke no rules anywhere on BF, but in Traditional. Like you said, it is only the internet....and every part of the internet has a ruler that swings a mighty keyboard.
Anyways, all you can do with spilled milk is clean it up and keep on going. I am over it...peace.

I apologize for helping to derail this thread but...

Blade Forums FAQ said:
Failure to follow Forum Specific Rules
The various forums throughout our site have varying rules. Some of the forums, such as Wine & Cheese are "anything goes". Others, like the HI Cantina, prefer a more laid back and genteel atmosphere.
As such, often these forums will have specific rules at the top of the topic listings. If you fail to follow the rules, you'll receive an infraction for your behavior.

Both of these are from the "Guidelines For The Traditional Forum"

I apologize for beating a dead horse, but it's worth knowing that Sub-Forum rules are in a very real sense Blade Forums' Rules as well.
