top to bottom--decent job for the big knife--chip size from kukri--bois d'arc cut by trey in 14 seconds, small tree but probably in top 3 hardest in america--bench made in comparison to kukri--area we were in ,sign emphasies hog problem in texas.--dennis

looks like a real beast, thanks for sharing. How does it compare to other choppers youve used?

siegle is 1/4 in. stock ,5160 alloy. these babies are heavy at 2 lbs. so although cuts are very deep ,the swinging from left to right fatigues a newbie quickly. my 9.75 siegle does a hell of a job but comparing a kuk with any other tool is not easy. it cuts so deep that pulling blade out of tree is a task in itself. however as i get more experienced i'll be able to define the qualities of the kuk better.--dennis

$$$ SHOT.

Wow Dennis the ergos on the g-10 handle really made the khuk stood out.
As a hardcore fan of pure khukuris i couldn't help but drooled over this model.
Bill certainly got the shape and geometry nicely done;

Excellent spine thickness, high bevel for deeper penetration (if the grind is convex it would have been nicer).

it cuts so deep that pulling blade out of tree is a task in itself
I would think a convex edge will solve this but the edge will dull quick (depending on the age of wood ).
With the legend of elk's leg i believe chipping problem is not existential.

Only if the frontal portion was a little longer and lighter in weight overall....

Hint: You should let the khuk swing itself rather than exerting too much force like handling a Bowie. Let the curve does the chop and do it repetitively. You will appreciate the efficiency of this magnificent weapon.
