Hey guys, I want to pass this on for my good friend and teacher Michael Vagnino, ABS MS.

There is a new crafts school opening called "Sierra Forge and Fire the craft school of California."

The school will be offering courses in artist Blacksmithing and also Bladesmithing as a cornerstone to more advanced classes to be offered.

The school will have 6 different blacksmithing core courses. Each class is a week in length (Mon. - Fri.) These classes will be taught by Mark Aspery, AWCB.

The school will have 4 different core classes that will be geared toward the art and craft of bladesmithing and knifemaking. Each class will be one week in length (Mon. - Fri.). These classes will be taught by Michael Vagnino, ABS Mastersmith.

Tution: depending on the class will be $600 - $700.

In addition to this, National and International instructors will demonstrate at the school. Darryl Nelson in November and Richard Bent, FWCB in December.

As the school progresses there will be additional courses in: Glass, Metal Carving, Damascus, and Ceramics...with others added later on as well.

The school will officially open Sept. 6, 2004.

Just as a side note of my own. This is not going to be a funky "folk" school. This is going to be a serious source of learning in both the craft of blacksmithing and bladesmithing. We are talking about two EXTREMELY talented and qualified instructors to start off with, and others to be added later.

A school like this will take YEARS off of your learning curve.

Thanks folks :)

I saw it Nick and excited about going (take a week off from the Fam is tough!), but I hope to be there.
