In a recent fatwood thread, it became apparent that there are some forum members who live in areas where fatwood is nonexistent or very hard to find. For those people, I have some now on hand.
Today I went shooting in the lower middle elevation of the Sierras, and after I was done I looked around for some likely stumps. I found two good ones - one has really sticky resin and is lighter colored and very translucent (the three smaller pieces on top), the other has darker orange and red hues.
If anyone would like some and can spring for the shipping costs (I was thinking of using the small USPS Priority flat rate boxes, which run about $6) I can send it your way. The first four people to send me a message with their address will get at least one good piece of the darker fatwood and one piece of the lighter colored fatwood (smaller, I didn't get as much of this). I would prefer that you be one of those who don't have it where you live.
