Couldn't decide if this would be better here, or on the custom forum. Figured I'd start here.

I was wondering if anyone thought it would be possible to take a Rekat Sifu blade and have a custom maker basically turn it into an integral or liner lock. Since the Sifu originally used the Rolling Lock I would image the grind arount the pivot area would have to be modified for a new stop pin and so it would accomodate a liner or integral lock to engage, but does it seem like a physical possibility?

There are so many pics posted of makers that have modified and/or replaced scales on production knives....so how about making an entire new handle assembly? :)

The Sifu blade has always been attractive to me, but I could never get used to having my lock on the handle side. Its been a curiosity of mine as to whether I could remove the problem all together.

I'd gladly go and find a Sifu if a custom maker wanted to pick up my little project.

Hey Dark N., why not just approach a custom maker about making a large fold with a blade shape similar to the Sifu? Start from scratch?

Yeah, that would be an approach too.....an more expensive approach, but an approach none the less :D

You might want to search the Emerson forum for info on the titanium integral Commander handles.
