So, I sold my Glock 26 for really no good reason other than I didn't carry it anymore and I hate having something around I'm not using. I was going to put the money back and pick up a nice 1911 this winter. BUT, I was browsing a couple gun trader groups on Facebook and came across a Sig2022 at what I thought was a steal. I've been wanting a nice DA/SA for a while now so I took the plunge. It's maybe had 100 rounds through it. Everything functions fine. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but hopefully I will in the next couple of days. Any thoughts on the 2022?

I have one and love it, enough so that I will eventually be adding another Sig to my little arsenal. A co-worker's cousin went shooting with us a few time, tried my 2022, and bought one at a gun show shortly after. Although I did briefly carry it before going to a smaller Bersa, it has been the "house gun" for quite some time, loaded with Hornady 124gr XTP.

How much you pay for it? I persoanlly would have kept the Glock, though really liked every Sig I've ever had. P938,238,229. I think I would have gotten a 226/229/320. the 320 is the striker fired version of this one. You can find a used 226/229 with night sites online from certain sellers for about $450-550 bucks.

I've got plenty of Glocks. I liked the 26 but not enough to keep it. It's an ok carry gun and an ok house gun but it's not great at either. I only bought it because my brother needed the $ so I thought I'd help him out.

I gave $300 for the 2022. I have a P320 and love it but I've wanted a DA/SA for awhile to play with at the range. I didn't go with the all metal Sigs because I will carry this some and the extra weight seems unnecessary.

Aw. Yeah that aint a bad price.

I also had a 26/30/19 but got rid of them. I just dont have the money to own a bunch off different pistols at once and wanted to try different brands/model so had to sell them to try others. Ive gone through just about all I wanted to try and getting a G27 (or maybe xd40c)as soon as I find a deal on one. Only got three pistols at the moment. M&P 40 and Walther PPX. Getting rid of the Walther soon. Its more than fine gun for the price but it has an issue with the hammer kinda catching on the firing pin housing that runs over it unless you keep it Very lubed constatly ,it will catch on it.Not a big issue but it bugs me. Other wise love it. Great trigger, fits perfect in my hand and like its looks. I just think the M&P is a bit more reliable pistol. I really dont care for the trigger on the M&P though .

I held one of these 2022s in a shop years ago and didnt think it felt bad just thought it was pretty bulky. I wouldnt mind getting a 226/227 sometime the future. I really did like the others ive had. Their just on the heavy/bulky side and prefer striker fired pistols for the most part. One thing I will say about Sigs is they are quality guns, feel great in the hands and total tack drivers.

$300 ain't too shabby!

And a friend of mine carries his P2022 daily.

A gun is just about worthless unless you can hit the target. If you shoot the gun well, then it's a great gun, for you.

Kind of late to be asking that, isn't?

I should've worded it differently. I was just asking if it's a decent gun. If the consensus was no I would've sold it. I'm sure I'd get my money back but I'm going to keep it. I've put about 200rds thru it and it's been flawless and very accurate. I actually shoot it better than my P320. I never would've thought that.
