Anyone here shoot one.
I'm looking at a S&W M&P 15-22 or the Sig 522.
If you like one or the other why if not why.
Thanks in advance.

Go for the M&P, I just looked at both and ended up with the Smith. Where the Sig crushes the S&W in the standard AR category, the 15-22 just seemed a whole lot nicer to me.

I havn't shot either, but I be you save a few dollars buying the SW. I was shooting one of the SW's in 5.56 the other day, and it was a decent shooter..I was able to hit a 6 inch plate at 100 yard no problem, after a short zero. functioned perfectly to, right outta the box.

If you get the Sig you need to also purchase sights as they dont come with any. Also spare mags are a few bucks more.
But if you can look past the extra cost you will be happier with the Sig, I own both and both are great shooter and reliable but the Sig is more accurate with the same ammo, optics, and both set in the same bech vise.
This is just my two cent and you will enjoy either one you get.

What he said. I think the current models, at least at Wal - Mart, come with sights, albiet not good ones. Mine didn't. I like both models.

I have and shoot both.

Accuracy: Sig
Best magazine: Sig
Trigger: Smith (YOu can install AR triggers such as the Rock River National Match)
Stock: Smith if you like Magpul Sig if you like side folding
Sights: Smith
Weight: Smith

I have only had the MOE Smith out for 2 range trips. It will take a while longer to decide on my favorite. Smith accuracy at longer ranges will be the deciding factor. The Sig trigger needs help.
