Sig P290

I shot of of these today, I want one! Anyone have one of these or shot one? If the knives all sell I'm going to buy one.
 
If that is the little concealable 9mm sig makes, then I have heard a few good things. I have not personally shot one but Sig Sauer usually makes great stuff so I have little doubt I would feel any differently myself.
 
Yes, it's a 9mm. My brother wants to buy my Vaquero, when he does I will buy the Sig. It shot and handled very well for me.
 
John I have a P290 and it shoots great and feels good but most of the time when I carry to Town or out to eat I carry my
KAHR CW-9 or one of my Kimbers in 9mm ~~ my 290 goe's to the Range with me more than anything though as I just love to shoot it the most.! Crazy.*
 
I had handled one but did not have any money left to rent it the first day. I did a lot of research on it on the internet, everything I read was positive, so I went back to rent it, loved it!
 
I have a 290RS and I've had no mechanical issues. It's accurate for a small auto and carries well. The night sights are as good as any and the laser is a big plus for the wife when she shoots it. I found mine to be much more comfortable to shoot with the 8-round magazine. I looked at a lot of similar sized pistols and read many reviews before picking the 290.
 
I like that you can load a round into the chamber and then decock the firearm, it has a DA/SA action, and will fire with a double action on the first shot if it is loaded and decocked.

Ultimately, for marksmanship that feature is not a great thing, but at 15 feet in a self defense scenario, it will make little difference save that it might encourage someone to actually carry their piece ready to fire.

Actually it`s DAO, no SA, and no decocking feature. It handles like a revolver when shooting it double action.
 
My mistake - I automatically thought P229 - not P290 - no experience with that piece.

Kimber has a small piece now - the Micro Carry - just sayin'

O.O Awesome! I may have to pick one of those up and set the PPK/S to the side. I've always been a huge Kimber fan.

I did check that one out. As much as I love my Kimber, I liked the Sig better.
 
The Kimber is around $300 more in keeping with tradition.

I know, I could not believe how prices have gone up! It's funny, when I got my Kimber back in 1996 it cost less than a Colt.

When I bought my Beretta 92fs, I paid $300 for it. Now it's hard to find them used for much less than $500.
